Bank Account Opening Assistance in Dubai

Bank Account Opening Assistance in Dubai

Start with the right route for a personal or corporate UAE bank account. Residency, signatories, account features and the source of funds shape the documents and bank review.

Discuss your banking requirements

Share your contact details and citizenship. We will discuss the account purpose, residency position and information needed for an initial assessment.

We only use these details to respond to your enquiry.

A banking application that explains your business.

Build a file around the account you need.

Once the account route is clear, explain why it is needed and how it will be used. A company file connects its activity, owners, authorised signatories and expected payments with evidence. A personal file focuses on identity, residency, financial background and intended use.

We organise the available records, identify gaps and coordinate the agreed application steps. The bank conducts its own customer checks, may request further evidence and makes the final decision. Read the UAE Central Bank’s customer due diligence guidance.

Initial bank account opening checklist

Gather these records before choosing a product. The selected bank will give you its exact document list and may request additional evidence.

Start with the account purpose

Define the account holder, intended use and residency position before choosing a bank product.

  • Personal or corporate use and account holder
  • Resident or non-resident status of the people involved
  • Expected currencies, payments and countries
  • Source of opening funds and supporting records
Personal file · UAE resident

Prepare identity, UAE residence and financial-background evidence for the applicant.

  • Passport and contact details
  • UAE residence visa and Emirates ID, as applicable
  • UAE address and employment or income evidence
  • Source-of-funds records and statements if requested
Personal file · non-resident

Check the available product first, then prepare the documents required for an overseas applicant.

  • Passport and overseas address evidence
  • Occupation, income and source-of-funds records
  • Home-bank statements or reference if requested
  • Product features and attendance requirements to confirm
Corporate applicant file

Show who owns and operates the company and how the account supports its business.

  • Trade licence or incorporation and constitutional documents
  • Ownership chart and beneficial-owner details
  • IDs and authority of owners and signatories
  • Business address, activity and trading evidence
  • Expected payments and source-of-funds records

A prepared application, a clear submission route and coordinated follow-up throughout the bank’s assessment.

Discuss your business activity or personal banking purpose, expected payments, currencies and residency position. Establish the services and practical account conditions you need to consider.

  2. 02

Review the relevant company or personal records, identify missing information and prepare a consistent explanation of the activity and funds associated with the proposed account.

  3. 03
    Coordinate the application

Confirm the chosen account criteria and submission requirements. Coordinate the application materials and any appointment or verification steps required from you and the authorised signatories.

UAE Bank Account Opening FAQs

Eligibility, residency, banking channels, fees and the review process.

Does a UAE company licence guarantee a business bank account?

A licence establishes the company’s registered activities but does not by itself secure an account. The bank assesses the application, ownership, purpose and supporting evidence under its own onboarding criteria. Our role is to support preparation and coordination; the bank decides whether to accept the application.

Can a non-resident founder apply for a UAE corporate bank account?

Potentially, but a UAE company licence does not determine the available bank product. The bank assesses the company, owners, authorised signatories and the applicant’s residency and verification route. We check those criteria before preparing a corporate application; an Emirates ID or in-person step may be required for a particular product.

Do you also assist with personal bank account enquiries?

Yes. A UAE resident may be eligible for personal current or savings products, subject to the bank’s criteria. A non-resident should check which personal products are available and whether the required account features are included; some banks offer a savings route while reserving current accounts for residents. Identity, address, financial background and intended use need supporting evidence. See one bank’s non-resident document example.

Can the application be completed remotely?

Some banks provide digital application channels, but access depends on the product, entity and applicant profile. Online submission does not remove verification requirements. The bank may require further identification, original documents or attendance; we clarify the applicable process before planning the submission.

How long does opening a UAE bank account take?

The process depends on document readiness, company or applicant complexity, the bank’s review and any additional requests. We explain the expected stages once the scope is assessed and follow up on outstanding items. A fixed approval date cannot be set on the bank’s behalf.

What fees and minimum balances should I consider?

Separate our assistance fee, bank charges, account balance conditions and external document costs. An initial deposit or minimum balance is money held in the account, not a service fee; falling below a required balance may create a charge. Ask the selected bank for its current Key Facts Statement and fee schedule, including transfer and foreign-exchange costs. See the Central Bank’s disclosure rules.

Can I receive and send payments in different currencies?

Currency availability and international payment access vary by bank and package. Explain which currencies you use, where your customers and suppliers are based and the expected payment volumes. These requirements should be checked against the proposed account’s supported services and charges.

What if the bank asks for more information or declines the application?

We help organise the requested clarification within the agreed scope. If the bank declines, we can discuss the information available and whether a different approach merits assessment. A further application requires its own eligibility review, and a different bank may reach a different decision.

Prepare the next step in your banking application.

Tell us whether you need a personal or corporate account, who will hold or operate it, and the residency position. We can then identify the first documents and the bank criteria to check.
